She is currently a citizen of New York City. Chando was a student at Manhattan College before becoming an actress. Chando played the character of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap opera As The World Changes between 2005 and 2007 and for a few months starting late 2009, she reprised the role. Alexandra made her acting debut in 2002 on the TV show House Blend playing the character of Jenna Harper. She also played Maddie Coleman in the CBS TV soap As the World Turns for three years. In 2009 Chando appeared in American documentary television series True life and further appeared in the TV series, Sherri. In addition, Chando starred in two episodes of Glory Daze as Annabelle. In addition, she has appeared on Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
